7 Types of Ice Cubes to Keep Your Drinks Ice Cold ...

There’s nothing worse than a warm, watered down drink, so I think you’re going to love these types of ice cubes. Not only will they keep your drink from tasting diluted, but they’re super easy to make and use. You can also mix and match little add-ins to give your drinks a fun new flavor as the cube itself begins to melt. There’s no end to what you can do, so please feel free to add your favorite types of ice cubes at the end of this list. I can’t wait to see what you come up with.

Watermelon

Watermelon Watermelon is one of my favorite ingredients and makes one of the best tasting types of ice cubes you’ll ever encounter. Simply puree some watermelon and freeze it in your ice cube tray. Toss these delicious cubes into cold water, iced tea or even juice for a sweet and fruity flavor that is both refreshing and delicious.

2

Wine

Wine You’ve probably heard that you can freeze wine to use in cooking, but I say use those little gems to keep your wine cold in the summer. I prefer chilled wine, but ice cubes water it down pretty quickly, so the obvious answer is to make yourself some wine cubes. That way you can still enjoy your wine ice cold. That’s good news to me!

3

Yogurt

Yogurt I probably wouldn’t put yogurt cubes in my water, but they work great for a quick ice cold smoothie in the summer. Just toss a couple into the blender with some diced fruit and honey and you have the makings for a refreshing treat! I like mine with berries and bananas.

4

Basil

Basil Basil ice cubes take a bit more work than other types, but it’s well worth the effort. Thinly slice some basil leaves. Use a very sharp knife or herb roller to get thin strands of the herb. Fill an ice cube tray with water and add a few pieces of basil to each. Freeze, then toss into lemonade or iced tea. The fresh flavor of the basil balances out the taste of both drinks.

5

Lemons and Limes

Lemons and Limes I love a twist of lemon or lime in my water or iced tea so this is a great ice cube option for me. Simply squeeze some fresh lemon or lime juice into the water in your ice cube tray. Toss these yummy little gems into water, iced tea, lemonade or even soda for a refreshing twist that gives you a little burst of flavor that can’t be beat.

Creamer

Creamer This is genius! Pour your favorite creamer flavor into your ice cube tray, add a dash of vanilla and a bit of cinnamon and then freeze. Toss the finished ice cubes into a cup of hot coffee for a cool down that you’re going to love. Iced coffee is a delicious treat and these ice cubes make it effortless.

7

Mint

Mint Fill an ice cube tray and then add some shredded mint before freezing. These ice cubes are stellar in a glass of iced tea or lemonade. That minty taste is great for cooling you down and you’ll have fresh breath for hours afterward. You can even just toss in a few whole mint leaves rather than taking the time to chop them up.

Don’t you hate a watered down drink? Will you try any of these ice cubes? I hope they make your summer one to remember!
