As a self-proclaimed smoothie and juicing addict, I have found some of the best juicing recipes on Pinterest lately that I would like to share with you all! Juicing has so many benefits outside of those fancy cleanses we hear about today. Sure, juice cleansing can be effective, but if you’re like me and have low blood sugar, it can also make you weak, tired and feel terrible. Instead, I prefer what I call juice “supplementing” where I add juices to my already health meal plans each day, instead of substituting juice for food. If you have juicer, or a blender you can easily make these recipes. Just take all of the ingredients and run them through your juicer or blend in your blender. If you have a blender, preferably a Vitamix or Nutribullet that extracts the most nutrients per blend, then all you need to do is add about ¼ cup water to get it blending and then strain in a nutmilk bag or cheesecloth. Juicers are more effective for making juice, but you don’t have to own one to make juice. With these delicious recipes, you’ll get clearer skin, more mental clarity, reduced sugar cravings, improved blood sugar, reduce bloating and nausea, and you’ll also boost your immune system. Juice just makes you feel good, and I love the taste of many different flavors. Try some of these, which are my favorites, and ones I think you’ll absolutely love yourself!
This juice takes some of the classic green juice ingredients to make one of the best juicing recipes ever! This tasty green juice is full of alkalizing, energizing and cleansing nutrients that are jam-packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. By juicing instead of blending, the nutrients hit your blood stream sooner and fiber doesn’t interfere with their absorption (as it can when blending). This juice features cleansing and sweet apple, calming and cleansing kale, digestion- friendly ginger that also fights inflammation and pain, cleansing cucumber that reduce bloat and stomach pain, celery to improve your blood pressure and reduce pain and bloating, and my favorite: spinach to give you iron, magnesium, protein and Vitamin E! Be a little careful with the ginger though. You'll only use about ½ inch of pure ginger root instead of a whole knob. It can be overwhelmingly spicy if you use too much and will take away from the lovely taste of this sweet juice!
Ingredients:
2 Granny Smith apples
4 Celery stalks
1 inch ginger root
1/2 cucumber
2 cups kale
2 cups spinach
Directions:
Juice everything together, pour into a glass, and enjoy!
This juice is one of the prettiest I have seen with its lovely, vibrant pink color. In this recipe, beets are the star ingredient, and if you’re new to using beets in juice, or a little wary, I don’t blame you. I used to be until I tried it and then I was hooked. The trick is to start out with only about ¼ raw beet and work your way up to a whole beet. Beets are so excellent for detoxing your liver, increasing your energy, reducing pain and enhancing your skin tone. Since they are naturally sweet, they also help to improve the taste in this recipe when combined with the apples. Use green apples instead of red apples for a lower sugar content, which help to also balance the taste of the beets and carrots. Carrots are wonderful sources of magnesium and Vitamin A. Vitamin A is one of the best nutrients to consume for clear skin and to get rid of acne. Their magnesium content helps improve regularity, reduces stress, and aids in muscle recovery. Celery is great for Vitamin K consumption and healthy blood pressure, while the lime and ginger really gives this juice a cleansing kick This is one of my favorite recipes for a healthy skin glow!
Ingredients:
1 beet
1/2 Granny Smith Apple
3 large organic carrots
5 stalks of celery
1 lime
1/2 inch knob of ginger root
Directions:
Juice everything together, pour into a glass, and enjoy!
Carrot juice is a classic recipe in the juice world, and many people have juiced carrots every single day for years throughout history due to their large amounts of Vitamin A, C and E, which all increase immunity and aid in overall aging benefits. Carrot juice is also extremely cleansing, yet also gentle, and it tastes great! I love that carrot juice just glows, and I feel like I’m giving my body a total wellness shot with each and every sip! In this recipe, you’re increasing the antioxidant load by adding Vitamin C rich oranges and grapefruit, which also help to lower insulin in the body. Ginger aids in digestion and adds a wonderful punch to the whole recipe. This makes one quart, but you could always half the ingredients for one or two servings.
Ingredients:
12 carrots
1 grapefruit
2 small navel oranges
1/2 inch knob of a piece of ginger
Directions:
Juice everything together, pour into a glass, and enjoy!
If you have trouble sleeping at night, try making this juice before you eat dinner or after if you have a light dinner. This juice is rich in ingredients such as spinach, kale and beets that can help you nod off quicker due to the high magnesium content in the ingredients used. Magnesium is a natural muscle relaxant and also helps the mind to relax as well, sending you into slumber quickly. This recipe is just sweet enough to be palatable, but plenty green enough to be quite cleansing and nourishing too.
Ingredients:
1 cup of spinach
1 apple
2 stalks of celery
2 kale leaves
1 beet
Directions:
Juice everything together, pour into a glass, and enjoy!
If you have trouble getting a head start on your day and lack energy, then make this juice pronto! It is full of energizing ingredients and powerful antioxidants to jumpstart your entire body. It is also great for reducing bloat and indigestion, which as we know, can be a ruin our energy quickly. This juice also features the powerful apple cider vinegar, which you’ll add in after you juice everything else. Apple cider vinegar is great for reducing joint pain, aiding digestion, increasing energy and is full of Vitamin C. Be sure to buy the raw and organic versions, which have the most antioxidants and nutrients.
Ingredients:
2 Apples
2 Cucumbers
8 Stalks of Celery
1 knob of ginger
dash of cinnamon
2 tablespoons of raw apple cider vinegar
Directions:
Juice everything together, pour into a glass, and enjoy!
If you’re looking to debloat after a week, weekend, or night of indulgence, drink this juice up! You’ll also feel a reduced sense of pain and increased levels of energy after drinking this too. This is a fantastic basic green juice if you’re new to juicing, or a classic standby if you’re an advanced juicer. The nutrients and antioxidants from kale are so potent, that you can immediately feel their magic going to work right away. Kale is rich in magnesium, iron, protein, Vitamin A, C and E, and chlorophyll. The other nutrients such as lemon, ginger and celery help to aid cleansing, reduce blood pressure and bloat, along with provide ample amounts of Vitamin C, K and digestive- friendly properties.
Ingredients:
1 cucumber
3 stalks of celery
1/2 lemon
1 kale leaf
1 green apple
Directions:
Juice everything together, pour into a glass and enjoy!
I love this sweet juice recipe, which has a little bit of it all! First, it features pineapple, which is rich in Vitamin C to keep your skin and immune in top function. Plus, pineapple is well known for its ability to reduce bloat since it contains a powerful enzyme that aids digestion known as bromelain. Mint is also added here to give a refreshing taste to the recipe and enhance digestion. Mint is rich in properties that reduce stress, bloating, indigestion and decrease cravings. The apple here is added for extra Vitamin C and antioxidant content, along with natural sweetness. And of course, let's not forget carrots! Carrots as you now know, are one of the most powerful juicing ingredients of all. I recommend using more carrots than pineapple and apple in this recipe if you suffer from low blood sugar like I do, or add in greens such as sweet romaine or spinach, or hearty kale or collards. Celery is also a nice addition to this recipe to balance the sweeter ingredients. Either way, this juice will boost your energy far more than a pot of coffee will!
Ingredients:
1/2 a pineapple
3-4 mint leaves
1 apple
4 large carrots
Directions:
Juice everything together, pour into a glass, and enjoy!
