Drip Coffee

Drip Coffee A drip coffee pot is probably one of the most common ways to enjoy your morning coffee and what we've grown up seeing in our parent's and grandparent's homes. It's a classic and makes many cups of coffee! It doesn't take more than a few minutes and you can even set a timer the night before and wake up to the smell of delicious coffee flowing through your home! It isn't very strong and can lack flavor however, which is the only downside really.

2

The Chemex

The Chemex The Chemex coffeemaker is a modern way to enjoy your coffee. It is aesthetically pleasing: clear glass with a tie in the middle and it's shaped like an hourglass. It produces the perfect cup of coffee, literally! There is no sediment and it dramatically reduces the amount of bitterness in your coffee so you can make it as strong or weak as you like. It also works well for iced coffee! I would love to own one because I've had coffee made with a Chemex before and it's amazing! Very smooth, rich flavor and you can't beat that cute, modern design to add to your kitchen countertop!

French Press

French Press Th French press is a wonderful way to make coffee. You coarsely grind the beans, add about 2 tablespoons per cup of coffee, and pour hot water into it. Then after about 5 minutes you press down the filter and pour out your coffee! It's relatively strong and pretty smooth. I've been using mine for a couple years now, upgraded from the traditional coffee pot. To combat bitterness or acidity and sediment, make sure you coarsely grind your beans and try for a medium to light roast. A medium blend is my favorite! I also try for organic and fair trade coffee.

4

AeroPress

AeroPress The AeroPress is ideal for preparing a strong, less acidic single cup of coffee in less than a minute! It works like the French press except it uses disposable filters and a plunger device to press out the coffee. The caffein content is comparable to an espresso shot and the grounds that are used are also fine (which differ from the course grinds of a French press). It's the perfect smooth and rich cup of coffee for mornings that are rushed!

5

Espresso Machines

Espresso Machines OK, espresso is my favorite way to enjoy coffee! I adore lattes and mochas because there's just something about adding steamed milk to rich espresso that's so delicious and appealing! I don't own an espresso machine because I feel they are expensive and also you sort of lose the novelty of going out for coffee in the atmosphere of a coffee house! It's a fun little date spot and a great way to catch up with friends. Still, espresso (especially flavored with vanilla!) is my ultimate favorite way to enjoy coffee in the morning or afternoon!

Instant

Instant Instant coffee has become much better over the years! Let me tell you, instant coffee is a wonderful invention for when you go on camping trips or vacation in general and are dependent on your morning cup of joe! It's certainly not as good as the real thing, but it does taste pretty good and will serve its purpose!

Flavored

Flavored We can't forget about all the amazing flavors out there to add to your coffee! Vanilla and chocolate are traditional, but there are also flavors such as caramel, hazelnut, white chocolate, and even flavors like raspberry and orange! Stick to your favorite or branch out into something new- either way, your taste-buds will be in heaven while you enjoy your preferred cup (or 2) of coffee!

I know I get bored of drinking my coffee the same way every day. I end up just drinking it to get my caffeine fix instead of really savoring the flavor. With so many options available now, it's easier to mix up the routine a bit and actually look forward to perking up with your morning coffee! And there are a lot of affordable options-most of the coffee brewers mentioned above are in the $20-$30 price range (minus the espresso machine). Tell me, what are your favorite ways to enjoy your morning coffee? Do you prefer to go out to a coffee house on occasion rather than having it daily at home?

You forgot the best espresso machine, which if far less expensive than the fancy espresso machines, that restaurants or cafés have. The old school Italian espresso machine. That is my favorite!
