Skip the creamy, high-calorie coffee, but go ahead and have the Chicken and Hummus Bistro Box with whatever you order for your drink. This filling box of deliciousness contains grilled chicken strips with hummus for dipping, tomatoes, cucumber, pita bread and a banana. All that food and you only take in 380 calories and 7 grams of fat.
4. Enjoy a Baked Potato Topped with Chili at Wendy’s
Wendy’s is one of my favorite fast food joints. It has loads of options and is one of the healthiest you can find. A baked potato topped with chili weighs in at only 460 calories and 6 grams of fat. Would you be surprised to find out that this combination is packed with fiber, protein, healthy carbs and lots of other nutrients? Yum!
5. Go to America’s Favorite – McDonald’s - and Choose a Southwest Salad and a Fruit ‘n Yogurt Parfait
No Big Macs and fries for you. Nope! That combination is a diet disaster, but the Southwest salad and fruit with yogurt is a virtuous choice that you can feel good about eating for lunch or dinner. The meal only contains 480 calories and 11 grams of fat if you skip the salad dressing. That’s pretty good for such a tasty meal!
6. Indulge in Three Barbacoa Soft Tacos at Chipotle
This rather large meal will only set you back 405 calories and 10 grams of fat. What you get for that is three tortillas loaded with barbacoa beef, lettuce and a fresh tomato salsa. There is tons of flavor in the meal and you will be full, but not over your fat and calorie quota for the day.
7. Hit Panera and Have the Half Smoked Turkey Breast on Artisan Whole Grain Loaf plus Low-Fat Garden Vegetable with Pesto Soup
It’s a mouthful to order, but it’s also a mouthful of deliciousness! This meal will taste like a gourmet treat from a high end restaurant and you won’t even have to spend the rest of the day feeling guilty about it. The calorie count is only 320 and the fat grams come it at only 6 grams. What more could you ask for?
