The best farmers markets in the US rank among the best markets in the country overall. One of my favorite things to do in the summer is go to the farmer’s market and support the local farmers. Because the produce is so fresh when I buy it at the farmer’s market, it always tastes fantastic. While all farmers’ markets are wonderful, you should certainly shop at the best farmers’ markets in the US when you have the chance. You won’t be disappointed.
Having lived in Saint Paul for a short time, I can honestly tell you that they have one of the best farmers’ markets in the US. The Saint Paul farmer’s market has an unbelievable selection, and the quality is wonderful. Also, you will be hard pressed to find such great prices at any grocery store. I can remember getting 3 large organic cucumbers for a dollar! It was such a deal, and they tasted amazing!
The Seattle Farmer’s Market at University District is open every Saturday throughout the year. It is just one of several farmers’ markets you can find throughout Seattle, and it is a great place to go to for your weekly shopping. You can find everything from seafood to foraged plants. Of course, you will also find a large selection of farmed produce that looks and tastes delicious.
The San Francisco farmer’s market has over 85 vendors, which means you will not be disappointed with the selection. You will be able to find a wide range of items, including Meyer lemons, Tahitian pomelos, and cactus pears. In addition to being able to purchase some wonderful produce, you will also be able to enjoy some of the delicious snacks that some of the vendors sell.
The Santa Monica farmer’s market is the oldest farmer’s market in Los Angeles, and it is extremely popular. Over 900,000 shoppers frequent this farmer’s market every year. It is held three days a week throughout the year, with Wednesdays being devoted to organic produce. This is a unique feature of the farmer’s market that will have any organic enthusiast excited.
There are 8 different farmers’ markets throughout Portland, and there are more than 250 vendors throughout the various locations. With so many vendors and so many locations, you can imagine that the farmers’ markets in Portland are popular, and, indeed, they average 6 million dollars in revenue per year! Obviously people are interested in all of the wonderful items that are sold which includes organic berries, cheese, and Asian greens.
The Union Square Greenmarket is a place you should visit on your next trip to New York. This farmer’s market is held 4 days a week, and has a wide variety of produce. During the peak season, there are 140 vendors selling hundreds of different types of foods. If you go to this farmer’s market, you will certainly not go hungry.
The farmer’s market in Santa Fe was established in the late 1960s, and it has become New Mexico’s largest farmer’s market. There are over 150 vendors selling agricultural products each week. You will also find artisanal goods at this farmer’s market, making it a great place for food and art!
