These are without question my favorite holiday goodies for kids. I loved making these so much when I was younger – they're just gorgeous! These little guys are the cutest things I've ever seen – and since I'm a fan of meringue, they're also the cutest things I've ever thoroughly enjoyed eating! If you enjoy beating the hell out of egg whites, you'll enjoy making them, too. Just make sure that you have all the ingredients you need, like almonds, nonpareil candies, black licorice whips, and cream of tartar.
