Watermelon

Watermelon Watermelon is probably one of the most obvious summer foods to keep you hydrated considering "water" is in its name! As a summertime favorite and consisting of more than 90% water, this juicy, sweet melon is also an amazing source of lycopene, a cancer-fighting antioxidant found in red fruits and vegetables. Stock up on watermelon this summer!

2

Cucumber

Cucumber Cucumber is a wonderful, crunchy summer veggie that's full of water and nutritional elements. It has the highest water content of any solid food at 96.7% and makes for the perfect snack. Cucumber sandwiches are light and perfect for a quick summer lunch and cucumber works well chopped on salads or sliced and dipped in hummus.

3

Juice Popsicles

Juice Popsicles Popsicles are a kids' favorite summer food and one that never goes out of style. There are many adult versions as well as healthy alternatives that don't include loads of added sugar. 100% fruit juice or coconut water, combined with organic berries or other fruits of choice, is a wonderful hydrating treat for summer!

4

Ripe Tomatoes

Ripe Tomatoes Tomatoes will always be a favorite addition to salads, sandwiches and hamburgers - they are not overpowering in flavor and add a lot of texture and juiciness to foods. Cherry tomatoes also make for a great, hydrating snack that can be paired with cheese or nuts for extra nutrition.

5

Crunchy Celery

Crunchy Celery Celery doesn't have a lot of flavor to it, however it's extremely dense in fiber, vitamins A, C and K, as well as folate and of course, tons of water! Celery is known to neutralize stomach acid and is often taken as a natural remedy for heartburn and acid reflux. Sounds like an ideal food to me! If you don't like celery alone, you can dip it in peanut butter, or add it to salads.

Berries, Berries, Berries

Berries, Berries, Berries Berries are my favorite type of fruit, hands down. They are sweet, juicy, full of flavor and they work so well in many food dishes. Smoothies are a great example and provide lots of nutrients as well as hydration. Strawberries and blueberries have the most water content so stick with those if you're looking for hydrating berries.

A Grapefruit

A Grapefruit Grapefruit is commonly known as a "diet" food and for good reasons! Its high water content combined with its fat burning compounds, make it an excellent, juicy fruit to indulge in. It's also suggested that grapefruit lowers cholesterol and stabilizes blood sugar levels. I think we all need to be eating this wonderful fruit daily! It is quite tart, but worth it for all its amazing benefits.
