Make-ahead Muffins

Make-ahead Muffins One of my favorite breakfasts for rushed mornings is a make-ahead muffin! Choose a muffin recipe that you love, and mix up the batter the night before. Store it in the fridge with a lid, and in the morning, pop the mixture into a muffin tin and put it in the oven while you are getting ready for work. When you’re ready to go, you will have a nice hot muffin waiting! I like to mix enough batter to last me a couple days when I make these!

Smoothie to Go

Smoothie to Go Smoothies are kind of an old and easy go-to, but they are packed full of nutrients and pretty tasty! You can make a smoothie by mixing any of your favorite frozen or fresh fruits and blending them up with water or milk. Get creative; don’t be afraid to experiment with adding different things like yogurt, peanut butter, granola, oats, and any other nutritious, filling substances!

3

Fruit Salad

Fruit Salad Here’s another breakfast that is easy to make ahead and store in the fridge. Cut up any variety of fruit you like and then mix it up in a bowl. Some delicious add-ins for fruit salad include nuts, yogurt, granola, or shredded coconut.

4

Sausage Biscuit

Sausage Biscuit If you have about 20 minutes to spare in the evenings or on weekends, make yourself some freezer sausage biscuits! Wrap them in aluminum foil before freezing them, and on weekday mornings simply take off the foil, wrap a damp paper towel around the biscuits, and microwave them for a few minutes!

5

Bagel and Peanut Butter

Bagel and Peanut Butter It doesn’t get any easier than a bagel for breakfast! Spreading peanut butter on your bagel is an excellent way to add flavor, sweetness, and a punch of protein into your breakfast. Sometimes I add banana slices on top of mine too!

Hard-Boiled Eggs

Hard-Boiled Eggs A great idea is to boil a couple of eggs at some point during the week and then keep them handy in the fridge. Your breakfast will be right at your fingertips, and the only prep work you’ll have is peeling an egg and sprinkling a little salt and pepper on top! Be sure to label which eggs are hard-boiled to avoid a messy mishap!

7

Fresh Fruit and Granola

Fresh Fruit and Granola For those mornings when you have absolutely no time to spare, there is no shame in grabbing an apple or a banana and a granola bar as you rush out the door! The important thing is to make sure you start your day off with a breakfast of some sort to kick-start your metabolism and your energy, and to encourage healthy eating patterns.

It really does not get any easier than these lightning fast yet totally delicious and mostly nutritious breakfast ideas! I’m usually in a hurry most mornings and skipping breakfast isn’t ideal. These are my go-to breakfasts, among a few others, and they have worked for me! What do you like to eat in the morning if you’re hurrying out the door for school or work?
