Greek Yogurt is totally delicious and highly nutritious. It is an ideal breakfast food but a bit samey if you eat just a bowl of it, on its own, every day. Greek yogurt just screams out for toppings or additions that make it a low carb, high protein breakfast treat. These are the toppings to keep in your cupboard to pair with the Greek yogurt in your fridge.

1. Maple Walnut Cereal Bowl

If you're a fan of maple syrup, you can always use it to make your yogurt tastier than ever. A drizzle of maple syrup (pure) is enough to add deliciousness to a cup of Greek yogurt. Add a few toasted walnuts for a healthy and tasty breakfast bowl.

Get a suitable glass and fill it with alternating layers of granola, Greek yogurt, and fresh fruit. You can make it taste even more special by adding a teaspoon of maple syrup.

To make your yogurt taste delicious and make it even more healthful, top it with pumpkin seeds and berries but pimp it up by serving it in a melon. Use half a cantaloupe as a bowl and add a cup of plain Greek yogurt to it. Now, combine berries and pumpkin seeds and use as a topping. Dig in!

Take a diced peach and use it to top a cup of Greek yogurt. Finish it by sprinkling some cinnamon. Cinnamon will add a bit of zing to your yogurt, but be sure to use it sparingly.

Add ¼ cup of frozen defrosted cherries (unsweetened) to 1 cup plain Greek Yogurt. Now, add half teaspoon of vanilla extract to the bowl and mix well. A vanilla cherry yogurt bowl ready in no time.

If you prefer a savory start to the day, add a spoonful of Greek yogurt to half an avocado. Next up, drizzle it with some extra-virgin oil and use a pinch of salt, herbs, or hot sauce for toppings. I sometimes use the olive oil from a jar of sun dried tomatoes. It's yummy.

10. Totally Greek

This is one of my favorite treats. Quarter some fresh figs (1 or 2). Add your yogurt to a bowl. Put the fig around the edge or to the side and then add honey. Put it in a pool in the middle or drizzle over the figs. I like a middle puddle.
