Summer is coming and if you’re like me, you’re busy in the kitchen getting ready to host some backyard fun so barbecue sauce recipes are a great starting point. I love to barbecue everything from chicken to steak to veggies, but a great sauce can make the meal. Try out these great barbecue sauce recipes, then let me know which one is your favorite.
Ingredients:
18 ounces of your favorite bottled barbecue sauce
½ cup black cherry juice
1 teaspoon chipotle powder
Directions:
Preheat a small saucepan. Combine the barbecue sauce with the cherry juice and chipotle powder and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Ingredients:
1 cup honey
¼ cup molasses
3 tablespoons catsup
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon paprika
1/8 teaspoon ginger
1 tablespoon seasoned salt
1 tablespoon meat tenderizer
1/8 teaspoon pepper
¼ teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon dried oregano
¼ teaspoon garlic, minced
¼ cup steak sauce
2 tablespoons Worcestershire
1 tablespoon mustard
1 ½ cups brown sugar
Directions:
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and blend well to mix the flavors. Refrigerate until ready to use.
Ingredients:
3 tablespoons butter, unsalted
2 tablespoons onion, minced
2 minced garlic cloves
3 tablespoons cider vinegar
½ cup whole grain mustard
¼ cup Dijon mustard
¾ cup peach jam
1 tablespoon bourbon
½ teaspoon salt
Directions:
Melt the butter over medium heat in a saucepan. Add the onion and garlic and cook for 3 minutes, then add the vinegar and boil for 4 minutes. Whisk in the mustards and the jam and simmer about 1 minute. Turn off the heat and add the bourbon and salt and stir to combine.
Ingredients:
1 cup mayo
1 cup apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 ½ tablespoons black pepper
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
½ cup vegetable oil
Directions:
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl or bottle. Cover tightly and refrigerate until ready to use.
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons raspberry jam
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire
2 tablespoons tomato sauce
2 tablespoons malt vinegar
5 drops hot sauce
Salt and pepper
Directions:
Blend all the ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
Ingredients:

2 tablespoons rice wine
½ tablespoon ginger powder
Directions:
Stir the ingredients together in saucepan and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 minced onion
2 minced garlic cloves
1 teaspoon grated ginger
1 ½ cups chopped fresh mango
1 cup mango juice
1 cup tomato sauce
1/3 cup dark brown sugar
1/3 cup honey
1/3 cup cider vinegar
2 tablespoons molasses
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
2 teaspoons finely chopped habaneros
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon pepper
Directions:
Heat the oil over medium heat in a saucepan and cook the onion for 5 minutes. Add the garlic and ginger and cook for an additional 30 seconds. Add the mangoes, mango juice, tomato sauce, brown sugar, honey, vinegar, molasses, lime juice, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, habaneros, salt and pepper and stir to combine. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Puree the sauce until smooth.
