Every time that summer rolls around, it brings with it smaller clothes, bikinis, beach parties and summer cocktails. I spent years working as a waitress/bartender, salivating at the thought of these yummy summer cocktails in the heat and now, I get to pass along the knowledge of how to make them to you, lovely readers. Just remember to drink the good stuff and responsibly too!
Ingredients:
1 oz. of Crown Royal,
1½ oz. of Apple Pucker
3 oz. of Cran-Apple juice
Directions:
First, fill a highball glass with ice. Then add your ingredients to a shaker and shake well. Pour over ice and you have yourself one of the best summer cocktails!
Ingredients:
1½ oz. Blueberry Vodka (use whichever brand you like)
½ oz. of Triple Sec
1 oz. of simple syrup
1 oz. of freshly squeezed lemon juice
Directions:
First you'll need to frost your martini glass by filling it with ice. In a shaker mix your ingredients. Shake or stir (whichever you prefer, Mr. Bond) with a little ice. Pour the ice from the martini glass and rim with sugar (I usually rub a little bit of a lemon over the edge so the sugar has something to stick to). Strain the contents of the shaker into the martini glass (I usually decorate mine with a blueberry speared on top of a lemon wheel) and serve.
Ingredients:
2 1/2 ounces of bourbon
1 tsp. powdered sugar
4 fresh mint leaves
2 tsp. water
Directions:
First grab yourself a Collins glass and put in all of the ingredients. Then, muddle (smush) everything in the glass. Once that's done fill the glass with ice and add in 2.5 ounces of bourbon. I always add a sprig of mint to the top to make it a little brighter, but that's optional.
Ingredients:
3 oz. of tequila
6 oz. of orange juice
Grenadine
Directions:
First add ice to a highball glass. Then in a shaker mix the tequila and OJ. Mix well. Pour the ice out of the high ball and pour in tequila mixture. Now, tilt the glass sideways and add 2 dashes of grenadine - and quickly! - right into the glass. After a few seconds the grenadine should sink to the bottom and you will have a drink that looks like a sunrise. I usually garnish mine with an orange wedge and a cherry.
Ingredients:
2 scoops of ice
1 peach, peeled and pitted
1 tbsp lime juice
2 tsp powdered sugar
2½ oz. white rum
Directions:
The first step is to put the ice in the blender. Then add all of the other ingredients, and blend until the fruit is smooth and the ice is in tiny chunks. Pour into a Hurricane Glass and serve!

1½ oz.of Vanilla Vodka
3 oz. of pineapple juice
Small-ish scoop of ice
Directions:
First fill a martini glass with ice to frost it. Then, in a shaker, mix all of your ingredients. Shake well. Empty the martini glass, and strain the contents of the shaker into it. Add a cherry to the bottom of the drink and enjoy dessert in a glass!
Ingredients:
1 oz. sweet tea vodka
1 oz. lemon vodka
3 ounces iced sweet tea
3 ounces chilled lemonade
Directions:
First fill a highball glass with ice. Add both vodkas. Fill the rest of the glass with equal parts lemonade and sweet tea. Add a lemon wedge to the side of the glass and serve; it's as easy as that!
