1. Sweet and Silky Green Smoothie

Filled with vitamins, a creamy texture and a naturally sweet taste, this is one of the best smoothie recipes to keep you full for hours! It tastes a bit like a milkshake to me and is really satisfying first thing in the day.

2 cups filtered water

Β½ banana (frozen- peel and freeze bananas ahead of time)

1/2 avocado (pitted and peeled from the flesh)

1 head romaine lettuce

1 cup organic spinach

Juice from one lemon

Β½ cup vanilla almond milk

2 tbsp. chia seeds

1 scoop your favorite protein powder- I used Sunwarrior Raw Warrior Blend-Vanilla

Dash of cinnamon (optional)

In a large blender, such as a Vitamix , Blendtec, Nutribullet or Magic Bullet, place all the ingredients in the order listed. A normal household blender will also work but may take a little longer.

Blend on low for 10 seconds and increase to high speed for 10 more seconds until a thick, shake-like consistency is reached.

Consume immediately or place in the fridge for later use. This smoothie will keep one day in the fridge. You may also freeze and thaw if you wish.
