Sweet Detox Smoothie

This smoothie is one of the best energizing and detoxifying smoothies of all these smoothie recipes. It is high in enzymes from pineapple that not only aid digestion, but also slim and energize you. To further assist in digestion and to beat bloat, I used naturally sweet parsley as the main green for this smoothie. Parsley is high in chlorophyll, which is this smoothie’s star detox ingredient. I also used raw coconut oil for some healthy fats to help nutrient absorption and help the liver to fight bacteria in the body. I highly recommend using this at least once or twice a week to reboot and nourish your system.

Ingredients:
2 whole bunches of organic parsley
1 zucchini squash for potassium, creaminess and it is tasteless
1/2 cup frozen pineapple (or use fresh)
1 tbsp. raw coconut oil, such as Bright Earth Foods Vanilla Coconut Oil see below for source
1 cups filtered water

Directions:
In a large blender, such as a Vitamix , Blendtec, Nutribullet or Magic Bullet, place all the ingredients in the order listed. A normal household blender will also work but may take a little longer.

Blend on low for 10 seconds and increase to high speed for 10 more seconds until a thick, shake-like consistency is reached.

Consume immediately or place in the fridge for later use. This smoothie will keep one day in the fridge. You may also freeze and thaw if you wish.

I hope you’ll all try some of these smoothies and I hope you’ll love them as much as I do. I have so much energy when I eat or drink smoothies. I actually like to make mine extra thick and freeze them for an hour before I have them each morning. This makes them an ice-cream like consistency, so that you can actually eat them with a spoon instead of just drinking them. I find this much more satisfying and tasty too! What are your favorite creative smoothie ingredients?
