7 Foods You Should Never Eat ...

There are a variety of foods you should never eat. Not only if you’re watching your weight, but just to keep yourself healthy. The reasons why these foods are so bad may be unknown to you. I’ve compiled a list of 7 foods you should never eat and real reasons behind them.

1. Bacon

Bacon Although bacon is just one of the many foods you should never eat, it’s one of the worst. There may only be about 50 calories per strip, but there is so much more to it. Bacon is extremely high in fat and sodium. Having a strip or two once in a while won't kill you, but if you can avoid it, you’re better off.

2. Bagels

Bagels The average bagel is about 400 calories. However, once you add toppings, the calorie count goes up. Besides the high calories, most bagels are made with refined white flours responsible for weight gain and heart disease, also an increased risk of diabetes. Bagels also cause skin inflammation that may lead to acne and rosacea. Nothing good comes out of bagels, so why eat them? If you really want one, maybe a whole grain bagel or a mini bagel would be a smarter choice.

3. White Bread

White Bread A big sandwich with white bread never fails to please our stomachs. However, you basically get nothing out of eating it. There are very few nutrients in white bread, making any other bread with grains a much better choice. White bread also contains an amount of salt that isn’t always healthy for your body. All of the carbs and refined sugars in white bread are also responsible for adding extra pounds to your body. You’re better off eating wheat bread if you’re looking to get something out of it.

4. Fast Food

Fast Food Let’s face it, fast food tastes good. The problem is, there’s absolutely nothing good in any of it. With the high amounts of sodium, dyes, artificial sweeteners, and other unknown ingredients, you never know what’s really in the food you’re eating. The employees also follow poor procedures to prepare the food, so fast food is also known to not be cooked properly. Obesity is big in America (pun intended), so backing off on the double cheeseburger with fries might be a good idea.

As part of taking control over your health and wellbeing, it's important to pay attention to the amount of sugar you consume daily. Did you ever wonder how many grams of sugar are in a teaspoon? Understanding this can help you make healthier choices and avoid those sneaky sugars that add up throughout the day. No doubt, your body will thank you!

5. Doughnuts

Doughnuts Mmm, doughnuts... everyone loves a sweet doughnut sometimes. But do you actually know how many calories is in this small little doughnut you’re eating? Doughnuts are filled with high amounts of sugars, trans fats and preservatives that aren’t worth eating. A donut may taste good at the time but it has no nutrients, so when you eat it you wont feel satisfied afterwards. Next time, skip the donut and go for something much more healthy!

6. White Rice

White Rice White rice is similar to white bread in the context that it tells your body to store excess fat that it doesn’t need. Thus, making it harder to lose weight. There is little to no nutritional value in white rice. Although it does make a good side for certain meals, choosing brown rice over white rice would be a smarter option. Brown rice has plenty of vitamins and fiber that regular white rice doesn’t have.

7. Canned Tomatoes

Canned Tomatoes Tomatoes aren’t the issue; the problem is the cans they’re put in. The lining on the tin cans contains a synthetic estrogen linked to many reproductive and heart problems; not to mention diabetes and obesity. Canned tomatoes are also known to have high amounts of sugar. It’s not worth the trouble, so next time you go to the super market, buy fresh tomatoes instead.

There are plenty of more foods you should never eat. The best thing to do is buy fresh food without labels. Non-processed foods without refined sugars or high fructose corn syrup are always better choices. What are some foods you can think of that everyone should avoid eating?
