I’m a huge fan of herbs and spices for their tastes and health properties, but of all spices out there, there are more reasons to add cloves to your diet than any of the others you’ll find today. Many people overlook cloves in favor of some of the more popular ones, such as cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and cardamom- and trust me, I adore those too. Yet I don’t just appreciate the tastes they bring to my foods, but also the health benefits, which is why I have so many reasons to add cloves to my foods. Ground cloves are the easiest form to buy, and very strong in aromatic tastes, so you don’t need a lot. They’re not just for your favorite pie recipe either. Thank you for the post! I always have them in my pantry but rarely use them, now I will start incorporating them into my meals and tea.

My mum always put a clove in Spaghetti Bol together with nutmeg and a Bay leaf. It gives it a special depth of flavour.
