Are you a coffee snob? Yes, I admit it. I am a self-proclaimed coffee snob. You probably are too, but you just donât know it yet.
If you have one place where you prefer to get your coffee⌠yes, youâre probably a coffee snob. If you take your coffee only one certain way⌠yes, youâre probably a coffee snob. If you pay more than $2 for a cup of coffee⌠well then, yes my dear, you are a coffee snob.
If you make instant coffee, youâre definitely NOT a coffee snob, but I digress.
No worries though. If you are a coffee snob, youâre amongst a great group of people. And I know this from personal experience. So, are you a coffee snob?
You see, I have several dozen videos that Iâve posted on Youtube over the last 2 years or so. When I first launched my channel, the idea was to have it be all about food and lifestyle. As I evolved and grew personally and professionally, so did my channel. The last 6 months do have a lot of great recipes and lifestyle tips, but Iâve also delved into vlogging, which is really fun! However, of all the videos Iâve posted, take a guess at which one is the most popular?
Thanks to Youtube analytics, I can see, just as plain as day, which of my videos are the most and least popular. Holding that #1 spot since the day I posted it is the video titled, âCoffee 2 Ways â With No Coffee Maker.â
I know, right? I was just as surprised too!
That video has been viewed all over the world. Hong Kong, Romania, Russia, Greenland, Canada, KazakhstanâŚ. As I saw the views tick onward and upward, I thought, âWhat is the big deal with this ONE video?â
I couldnât figure out. Why werenât my world-famous mouth-watering red velvet cupcakes topped with luscious cream cheese frosting peaking on the list? Or how about that great tip on the best way to clean up glitter? Or let us not forget my latest vlogs on life out and about in Washington, DC.
None of them are coming even close to that coffee video. And you know why? It took me a little while to figure it out, but now I know.
Think about it: No matter what we do for a living, no matter what our political affiliation, no matter what our race, no matter what our religious (or non-religious) beliefs, there is one thing we all have in common. Coffee. We all love coffee. And if you donât love it yourself, you most certainly know someone who does. Right? Yes, right!
That coffee video peaks interest because how in the world DO you make your beloved cup of joe without a coffee maker? Well, Iâll let you check out the video for yourself to see the answers, and just know that while youâre watching youâre not only watching with your fellow coffee snobs but people from all over the world.
And then tomorrow morning when you brew your best, rest assured that even if you're drinking your coffee alone, you really are far from it.
