If you want a tasty snack for yourself or need some easy but delicious appetizers, you really cannot go wrong with bruschetta. Well, when you've got crispy toasted bread as a base, the sky's the limit when it comes to possible topping combinations. Here are lots of bruschetta recipes you might not have thought of.
1 Cranberry & Pomegranate Bruschetta
Here is the list what you need for it:
• 1 pound fresh (or frozen cranberries, washed)
• 2 teaspoons chopped fresh ginger (don't worry about chopping it too fine at this point)
• 1 cup sugar
• ¼ cup honey
• 2 teaspoons Sriracha sauce
• ½ cup roughly chopped fresh cilantro
• zest from one orange (reserve a bit for garnish)
• ¾-1 cup pomegranate arils or seeds* (reserve a few for garnish)
• finely chopped fresh cilantro or parsley (for garnish)
• For the crostini:
• 1 thin (good quality baguette, sliced about ¼ inch thick)
• ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
• kosher salt
• freshly ground black pepper
• 8 ounces cream cheese (softened (I always use the lower fat, not no-fat))
This dish is made up of slices of toasted bread, topped with a herbed olive tapenade and goat cheese. The tapenade is made with olives, olive oil, herbs, and spices. The goat cheese is a mild, creamy cheese that pairs well with the salty olives and the crispy toast.
Mushroom bruschetta is a dish made with mushrooms, bread, and tomatoes. The mushrooms are usually sauteed with garlic and olive oil, and the bread is grilled or toasted. The tomatoes are usually diced and mixed with the mushrooms, and the whole mixture is placed on top of the bread.
This dish is made up of toasted baguette slices that are then topped with a mixture of apple, brie and honey. The apples are usually thinly sliced so that they can easily be eaten along with the other toppings on the bruschetta. The brie adds a creamy and rich flavor to the dish, while the honey provides a touch of sweetness.
8 Fig, Goat Cheese and Caramelized Onion Bruschetta
This dish is made up of roasted grapes and fresh ricotta cheese on top of a toasted slice of bread. The grapes are roasted with a bit of olive oil and balsamic vinegar, and the ricotta is mixed with some honey and lemon zest. This dish is simple but flavorful, and makes for a great appetizer or light meal.
John #11 OK. Let's be real! Your photography is great, the presentation is great, but the idea of how to assemble such a nice bruschetta is where yours stands out! The sprig of basil the parmesan strewn on the board and the properly prepared baguette slices. I like the whole thing!! I am going to a 5 PM social gathering in our cul de sac as a introduction to the holiday season. I am going to prepare this bruschetta and a couple of others. I will put them on a nice hardwood plank and (I have my own herbs growing a raised garden in the back which will play a part in this presentation and I will add some nice chilled Chardonnay and I think we will have a nice get together! Thanks for your nice item!!
Molly What goes good with bruschetta?
DJen Is bruschetta topping served hot or cold?
Mark @DJen: Bruschetta is actually a traditional Italian dish. That is why many people love eating "Italian" foods that are not really from Italy or do it in the Italian way. Bruschetta topping is one of those dishes. When we talk about serving bruschetta topping hot or cold, we tend to think that the sauce must be served warm and freshly made. However, many restaurants and households serve it cold because it tastes better when refrigerated for at least an
