Fruit-based breakfasts are the perfect breakfasts to eat, whether you’re in a hurry, trying to eat healthier than usual, or are simply looking to feel better throughout the day. Personally, I love fruit-based breakfasts because they’re easier to digest as the day goes on. They give me energy without making me feel gross, as heavy breakfast foods often do! Whether you’re looking for something elaborate like mixed fruit French toast, or something as simple as smoothies or frozen grapes, you will find the perfect fruit-based breakfasts for you here!

1. Apples with Peanut Butter
Sure, at first it may feel like you’re regressing to your days of elementary school and organized snack time, but apples and peanut butter are a tried-and-true breakfast, especially when you’re in a hurry! I was hesitant about trying apples and peanut butter again, but they’re definitely the quickest, yet most-filling breakfasts I’ve tried out! They’ve become one of my go-to fruit-based breakfasts!
2. Smoothies and Juices
After you’ve found your favorite smoothie, you may find yourself addicted to smoothies and juices. That is perfectly okay! They’re perfect for when you’re running out the door, especially if you make them in advance! Plus, the options are endless when it comes to what you can make your smoothies out of. I always start out with my favorite fruits that I have on-hand and adjust until I find my favorite combination!
3. Fruit Salad
Fruit salad is so simple that you may not even think of it in the mornings. Fruit salad is the perfect breakfast for your mornings with a little bit of time, but not enough to prepare a full meal. Rather than reach for the sugary cereals, cut up some fruit! You’ll feel so much better all day!
4. Fruit Pancakes
Pick your favorite fruit to make with pancakes during your next late morning! My personal favorite is banana pancakes, but you could try blueberries, strawberries, or raspberries! If you love fruit and pancakes but don’t have the time in the mornings to make them, you could make them in advance and freeze them for an easy breakfast in the mornings!

I’ve written about this French toast before, but it was so good that it must be written about again. A few months ago I had mixed fruit French toast that was so good that I’m still thinking about it. It wasn’t so much the French toast that was amazing, but the fresh strawberries, kiwis, and bananas that covered the toast! Incorporating various fresh fruit into an average breakfast is an easy way to get a few fruit servings in before 9 AM!

6. Peanut Butter and Banana… Anything!
Peanut butter and bananas on anything make for the perfectly filling breakfast! I love putting peanut butter and bananas on bagel thins, but you could put it on toast, or simply freeze peanut butters on banana slices and eat them on their own! The possibilities are nearly endless when it comes to this delicious combination!
7. Frozen Grapes
Frozen grapes are everyone’s favorite snack when they’re toddlers, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy them on an unbearably hot summer morning! They’re refreshing, tasty, and most importantly, healthy!
