One of my favorite places in the world is Disney World and there are some just some desserts you must try at Disney World. Because of my love for the place, I actually worked there for a year. During my year there, I found some pretty awesome desserts. Here are 15 of the yummiest desserts you must try at Disney World!
1 Dole Whip
This is probably one of the most famous desserts you can get at Disney World… and for good reason! It’s AMAZING! Especially on a hot day. It’s delicious and refreshing, and the pineapple has just the right amount of tanginess. Get this delicious treat at Adventureland in Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and the Polynesian Resort! If you’re over 21, you can add rum and make it a delicious cocktail in Animal Kingdom, and at the Polynesian Resort, you can get it swirled with vanilla soft serve too. This delicious treat is one of the top desserts you must try at Disney World.
2 Fruit and Nutella Waffle Sandwich
Um, YUM. This delicious dessert can be found at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments in Magic Kingdom, and boy, is it magical. Nutella? Fresh fruit? Waffles?! Honestly, eat it with a view of the castle and there aren’t many things that could make it better.
3 Troll Horn
According to my Norwegian boyfriend, this isn’t actually something Norwegians eat. But it is actually something they should, because, oh my goodness! A sugary cone with a mixture of whipped cream and lingonberry (similar to cranberry) inside? Norway, you’re missing out! You can get this at the Kringla Bakeri og Kafe in Epcot!
4 Brioche Ice Cream Sandwich
A warm brioche bun filled with melty ice cream and sauce is probably the most indulgent thing you can get. Seriously. One bite, and regular ice cream sandwiches have no hope. You can find this extraordinary ice cream sandwich at L’Artisan des Glaces Sorbet and Ice Cream Shop in Epcot.
5 Zebra Domes
These delicious little chocolate cakes are heavenly! You can only get them at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, which I highly recommend you explore, even if you’re not staying there. They’re available for “grab and go” at The Mara, but I’d recommend getting them at Boma, the buffet restaurant, so you can eat them to your heart’s content!
6 Crème Brulee
Probably one of the most famous desserts ever, and like most things, Disney does it phenomenally. You can get it at Boulangerie Patisserie in Epcot!
7 Strawberry Sundae
This is my personal favorite. It’s so delicious, and you get a lot of bang for your buck! I recommend getting it with swirl ice cream. Grab it at Storybook Sweets in Magic Kingdom.
8 Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich
I love macarons, and I love ice cream, so of course this macaron ice cream sandwich is stellar. They usually have chocolate and a seasonal flavor. You can get them at L’Artisan des Glaces Sorbet and Ice Cream Shop in Epcot.
9 Mickey Ice Cream Bar
The classic Disney dessert is the Mickey-shaped ice cream bar. You can find these all over the place and they’re so yummy.
10 Cream Puff
Another one of my favorites! A delicious, indulgent cream puff with fresh berries, you won't be able to resist this dessert. It's so yummy, and while it’s a familiar dessert, it’s also special. Check it out at Kringla Bakeri og Kafe in Epcot!
11 LaFou’s Brew
Okay, so hear me out. It sounds weird. But it’s SO good. It’s frozen apple juice with toasted marshmallow flavoring, topped with a passion fruit foam. It’s amazing. You can get it at Gaston’s Tavern in Magic Kingdom.
12 Caramel Apple
One of the most versatile desserts at Disney World is the caramel apple. You can design your own at Goofy’s Candy Company in Disney Springs, or get a fun one that looks like characters almost anywhere on the Disney property. My personal favorite can be found at Karamell Kuche in Epcot. The caramel is unlike any other. Bonus: Karamell Kuche also has THE BEST caramel corn I have ever had.
13 The Grey Stuff
“Try the grey stuff, it’s delicious! Don’t believe me? Ask the dishes!” No need to ask any dishes… it really is delicious. The Grey Stuff is a cookies and cream mousse and it is amazing. You can get it at Be Our Guest in Magic Kingdom.
14 Tarte Aux Fraises
This strawberry tart is light and filling all at once. It’s super yummy. You can get it at Boulangerie Patisserie in Epcot.
15 Cinnamon Roll
How does a cinnamon roll the size of your head sound? Amazing, right? No longer is this the thing of dreams and fantasies. You can get one of your own at Gaston’s Tavern in Magic Kingdom.
